Upper Body Workout Review: Eleni Fit Did It Again!

An upper body workout is the best feeling ever! In my opinion that is.

I created the Booty Wreck exercise routine program for myself (and readers!) a while ago. Even though I have one day of the week where I schedule in upper body workout exercises that include weights- I decided to try out one of Eleni Fit’s (a fitness YouTuber) upper body focused Pilates workouts. Just for kicks!

In this post, I will be reviewing the workout and giving you my thoughts on it.

Eleni Fit, a popular fitness YouTuber, has crafted a comprehensive upper body workout (called 30 Min Pilates-Toned Upper Body) that combines Pilates principles with interval training. The video is structured into three main parts: a warm-up, the main workout, and a cool-down. Each exercise is performed for 40 seconds with a 10-second break in between, ensuring you get a thorough workout without feeling overwhelmed.

  1. No Equipment Needed: This workout is perfect for those who prefer to exercise at home without investing in a bunch of additional equipment. All you need is some space to move. You might want to consider an exercise mat such as this one from ProsourceFit.
  2. Targeted Muscle Groups: The workout focuses on the arms, shoulders, back and chest.
  3. Interval Training: The 40-second intervals with 10-second breaks keep the workout dynamic and engaging. This format also helps to keep your heart rate up, providing a cardiovascular benefit alongside muscle toning.
  4. Clear Instructions: Eleni provides clear and concise instructions throughout the video, making it easy to follow along. Her positive and encouraging demeanor helps keep you motivated from start to finish.

Pros:

  • No equipment required
  • Comprehensive upper body focus
  • No obnoxious talking
  • Suitable for all fitness levels with modifications
  • Low impact on the legs

Cons:

  • Some exercises may be too challenging for beginners
  • No talking through exercises to guide people that are doing the workout
  • Requires a bit of space to perform all movements comfortably
  • If you are big into upper body weightlifting, you might feel like this isn’t a good upper body workout for you

Having tried this workout myself, I can attest to its effectiveness. I was really skeptical beforehand but…whoa!

The exercises were challenging yet manageable, and I loved that there was a variety of movements as it kept everything interesting. It was definitely tough. I even had to take some short breaks throughout because my arms kept getting too tired. The next day my arms were indeed sore which was a reflection of the hard work they got.

The warm-up and cool-down segments were great. As with all of Eleni’s workout videos, they were well-designed and ensured that my muscles were properly prepared and relaxed.

Eleni Fit’s upper body focused Pilates workout is a fantastic option for anyone looking to get in a great strength workout without weights and other equipment (aside from maybe a mat). Whether you’re a Pilates enthusiast or new to this form of exercise, this video offers a balanced and effective workout that can easily be incorporated into your fitness routine. Give it a try and feel the burn!
